Pietro: I so enjoyed the games from Turin, it was a wonderful time to show off your city. I'm hoping that my wife and I may make it to Italy this year.

Definitely!
Passion lives there, said this motto tells everything. Without it, what a dead world it would be.
I to truly love italian mottos and proverbs as each of them are said passionately. Isn't it easy to understand my passion for Italia:)

Your desire of life obviously made you take these lovely shots in different times.

Istanbul wishes you nice evening~

You know, the sad thing is if you put that up over here some Redneck would use it for target practice.

I love the simplicity of it - which makes the Olympics to me more authentic.

Momenti bellissimi, la fiaccola passò sotto casa mia ed io come una ragazzina a sventolare la bandierina, vuol dire la passione è qui? Credo..
Un caro saluto,bellissime foto, grazie.

Those beautiful photos that you posted remind me of XIV Olympic Winter Games that was celebrated in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in my city Sarajevo. That was in February 1984. My older son was only 1 year old back then. Those were the day, my friend. :-)

Hi Pietro,
I would prefer a nightingale on my window with his harmonious singing! The sound of "my woodpecker" looks like a hammer! LOL!
Have a nice day!

Hi Pietro! Another hectic week and my tour of blogosphere suffers... ;)
Lovely memories of those Games, but I must confess that the Cortina D'Ampezzo were more impressive to me. I was on my second year in school and an avid reader of sport's newspapers. So Cortina and Melbourne 1956 made my first delights; and I can't forget the Adidas Melbourne running shoes... But truly, it was Rome 1960 my first Olympic Games... Ageing... ;))

Blogtrotter just ended the tour of temples in Old Town Vilnius and waits for you there. Enjoy and have a great weekend!
